Wood care is a major concern in a country like Thailand, where the sun shines most of the year. UV turn wood grey in a matter of weeks and maintaining its pleasing aesthetics is difficult with conventional lacquers, which often crack and peel.

Project in pictures: Note that work was conducted at night in order not to distub swimming pool operations, as the hotel was fully booked during renovation time. Phase 1: restore wood's natural aspect. - Step 1: Spotless™ RenoWood used to eliminate grey color. Product is applied directly on wooden surfaces with airless spray gun and rollers. RenoWood selectively breaks down grey particles and parasites, without damaging wood fibers.
- Step 2: after letting RenoWood work for 10 to 15 minutes (it must not dry), water is sprayed to neutralize its action and wash it out of the wood's fibers. A second application is recommended if some grey coloration remains.
Phase 2: protect wood from UV and give dark brown color Spotless™ AntiGrey is applied in two consecutive coats, using rollers. This European toy-safety compliant nanotechnology UV repellent protection will slow down wood's greying process by a factor of 3 to 4. Since the product is absorbed into wood fibers, unlike lacquers or other paints, it cannot peel or crack with time. Wood retains a natural aspect and feel.
Spotless™ AntiGrey is non-toxic and has no smell: it is both easy and safe to apply.
After 2 to 3 years, once grey coloration has returned, the whole process will need to be renewed. Pool deck renovated (click on photos to enlarge):
