Eliminating persistent odor (cigarette, cooking) from guest rooms is a well known challenge for the hospitality industry. The housekeeping team of Luxury Serviced Suites Pan Pacific in Bangkok, Thailand, found the perfect instant and eco-friendly solution to eliminate persistent cigarette smell from their smoking rooms.

On September 8th, 2010, one automatic can of DeoMist was placed in the center of a 35 square meters room. The air-conditioning was turned off then the can triggered. The room was vacated and the mist was let to coat all surfaces in the room.

Because the room was occupied and the guest was to come back later during the day, DeoMist was only allowed to work for 1 hour before ventilation and daily cleaning by housekeeping (it is recommended to let it work ideally for 24 hours).

After one hour, the strong and persistent cigarette smell had completely disappeared.
