Pearl_Continental_Hotel_Lahore_Pakistan Sharepdf logo Planet Supra Thermal Barrier Paint's credibility in Pakistan was established at Marriott Hotel Islamabad, where succesful technical trials were conducted in 2009.

The Pearl Continental Hotel Rawalpindi and the Marriott Hotel Islamabad are both owned by the Hashoo Group, one of the largest conglomorates in Pakistan.

The Pearl Continental's Bukhara restaurant was chosen as pilot site to test the cost-saving benefits of Planet Supra, which would come from reflecting almost 95% of solar radiations. The air-conditioning system’s electricity consumption was recorded during 48 hours, then the 246 sqm concrete rooftop was painted with Planet Supra in white color.

The air-conditioning system’s consumption was recorded again during 48 hours, with the same setting of 22°C to 24°C.

Total savings on electricity amounted to 16%, which once working hours and the summer period were factored in, would provide a return on investment of 2 years.
